Popular Psychology Submission Guidelines

The journal is a monthly popular science publication supervised by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, sponsored by East China Normal University, co-organized by the Moral Education Department of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, and distributed publicly both domestically and internationally. The journal includes the following columns: Psychological Counseling Notes, School Psychology Workshop, Youth World, Psychological Guidance and Therapy, Soul Teahouse, Marriage and Family, Essential Reading for Parents, Teaching and Learning, Career World, Practical Tips, Social Psychology Phenomena, Knowledge Window, Profiles, etc.

1. Submission Scope

Articles related to psychology that combine knowledge and interest.

2. Submission Requirements

2.1 Submissions must be made online at: http://dzxlx.ecnu.edu.cn. Printed manuscripts and email submissions are not accepted.

2.2 Please register with your real name before submitting and provide accurate personal information.

2.3 Please use Microsoft Word software to edit and upload your submission.

2.4 Maintain your personal information to ensure that your institution, mobile number, email, and address in the system are valid. If you wish to use a pen name for publication, please leave a message to the editorial department; otherwise, your real name will be used.

2.5 The journal welcomes original manuscripts. Plagiarism, patchwork, or multiple submissions are prohibited. Authors who submit the same manuscript to multiple publications, plagiarize, or copy will be publicly reported, and all submissions from such authors will be rejected for two years.

3. Writing Guidelines

3.1 The content should be closely related to the field of psychology. Articles should be concise, well-organized, vivid, and easy to understand, avoiding verbose writing. There should be no spelling errors or grammatical mistakes, and paragraph structure and logical relationships should be clear.

3.2 Articles should be neither too short nor too long, with each article containing between 2,000 and 3,500 words, except for specially commissioned articles.

3.3 Please use punctuation marks correctly. Use Chinese punctuation marks and pay attention to the difference between full-width and half-width characters. For example, use a full-width period "。" rather than "." and use a full-width comma "," rather than a half-width ",".

4. Manuscript Processing

Due to limited resources, rejected manuscripts are generally not returned. Authors should keep a copy of their work. If no response is received within 3 months, authors may submit their work elsewhere, barring special circumstances.

5. Responsibility for Content

Authors are responsible for the content of their submissions. In accordance with the Copyright Law, the journal may make textual modifications, deletions, and edits to submissions. For any content-related changes, the journal will contact the author.

6. Remuneration

Once published, authors will receive appropriate compensation and complimentary copies of the journal. Upon payment of remuneration, the copyright becomes jointly owned by Popular Psychology magazine and the author.
